Hey guys

I did the IYSO this summer and I do have to say that this was pretty much THE best summer of my life
You guys are gonna have so much fun next summer, especially since you're going to Belgium anddd it's Fritzy-Poo's last year
Anyways, I compiled a list [one of those "100 ways you know..."]

**ohh, and a word to the wise: If you're a violinist, do the strolling. TRUST ME

IYSO 2007 [13 Sep 2006|10:41am]
hey all, just wanna see who's in the '07 IYSO. I'd just like to tell everyone who is, and isn't, that it is gonna be an awesome summer. The program is really cool, and so is the Mass. Plus we get to hang with the choir sometimes. Anywho, just curious to see who's going.

Deposit and the aftermath [21 Aug 2006|03:28pm]

So I got my acceptance letter for the BLFAC International Jazz Band (w00t), and I am pretty happy about that. I have a question regarding payments after the deposit...if I can somehow wiggle $750 by Aug. 31...which I still don't know how I'm going to pull that one off, but anyway...if I am able to make the initial deposit, do you have to pay a set monthly fee for so many months, or can you take your time and pay it however you want over the course of the few months until its all due (which I believe is April or May). If I don't have to make monthly payments to BLFAC, it'll give me more time to come up with the rest of the money throughout whatever means neccisary.

Thanks for the help! You might see more of me asking questions...heh.

Hello! I just joined! My name's Galina and I've just been accepted into the IYSO!!! I'm a violinist. But, I'm not sure if I can go; it's sooo incredibly expensive! Does anyone have any good fundraising ideas?

I would just like to brag to anyone who got their Intensive Week Packet today that I am the only person in Northern Winds with an age of 0.

Anyone else 0 years old here?

IYSO [21 May 2006|09:02pm]
So, I'm happy. The IYSO is going to kick major ass this year. And yeah, I know rehearsal seemed kinda bad but really? compared to last year, our performance for the parents today was stellar.

Anywho.. yeah... this year's gonna rock.... I have a tendency to repeat myself... meh....

Yeah... Intensive week will be Intense. Bring cards, and food.... cd player or speakers... and yeah... can't think of anything else so woot for IYSO.

♥ Sarah

yes... that's just in there cause moving text is entertaining.

Alright here goes: Formal introduction.

Hello everyone.
My name is Jared, but you can call me Schu.
I am supposedly going to Europe this summer with International Northern Winds.
I play percussive instruments.
I had to miss all the rehearsals before now because I wasn't going to do international at first, and then I had WGI Finals in Dayton.

As a side note, I can guarantee you that you will never hear me say anything as dull as that again.
But now that it's been said, it'll make anything else I say sound more interesting.

Anyway, hi.
How's everyone doing?

Thank You! [22 Feb 2006|08:52pm]

[ mood | grateful ]

I'd just like to send a little thank you out here to neonhighlighter. I'm saying this because you alerted me of the opening in the IYSO for the tuba and I got to audition for the Fritz Stansell over the phone. My blue lake friend down here in OH and I were quite excited over that. I didn't get into IYSO but I did make the southern winds/blue lake en France, so I'd just like to thank you for helping me to have the opportunity of being part of the Blue Lake International family again. Thank You So Much!

Also, I'm looking for any fellow ISW members out there for this year? April will be my first rehersal with the group if my drumline doesn't make world chamionship finals. Just wanted to see if I could get to know anyone ahead of time!

Anywho, If anyone in the IYSO knows people in the Chicagoland area that they'd like to stay with, let me know and I'll see if they're close enough. But yeah.. now, poll. would you guys wanna have a potluck with the orchestra and host families? or just go home with your host families? either one will work out, but I just wanna see what you guys want.

Right, so my school is able to be our concert hall for the pre-euro tour. Anywho, I was wondering if anyone from the IYSO, or in general lives near Elmhurst. If you'd like to host people, please let me know.

guess what?
for northern , you know how we are going on the midwest tour before we leave for europe? Well for some reason my dad told blue lake that we live 15 minutes from the airport we are leaving from, so my dad is the chairperson for the midwest tour, and i get to help assign people to their host families.

I donno, i really excited about this though

oh btw i live in Mt. Prospect Illinois

i have a quick question. For the IYSO, when do they decide the final seating placements? I missed the 1st rehearsal and I am going to have to miss the 2nd. Does anyone know when that tape is due?

International This Summer [22 Nov 2005|06:57pm]
Ok, so who's going with an International group this summer?
I'm going with the IYSO. If you're going with a group, could you list your name here so that you could keep in contact with people all winter and stuff? Danke.
